Unscrew the fixed mast. There are tools available for the base nut, but it usually comes loose with just a little effort, and then spins off freely with a pick or flat screwdriver.

Since the engine seized, I can't rotate the flexplate to unbolt the torque converter, and I don't want to risk any damage to the recently-rebuilt trans, so they're coming out together.
