Drilling out the bottom rivets.

Once you drill them out, before using a hammer and punch STABILIZE the backside of the glass with some sort of backing (ie wood, or whatever you can come up with) so you don't crack / smash it!

No Crown Vic/Grand Marquis ever had courtesy lamps in the rear doors. However, that did not stop me from installing them. Here are the chrome lamps I purchased, masked and ready to be painted.

I replaced the 95-97 Auto-Dim mirror I had installed with the 98+ version, with compass.

Also a direct plug and play install, I used the same harness from the 95-97 mirror

After paint.

I painted the blower satin black and used a satin clear coat to protect it.

The fasteners were replaced with stainless socket button head bolts for looks

It was easier for me to remove the "bulb condom" with the bulb out of the holder because this one had been baked onto the bulb. But if it wasn't, it would have been easier to remove the blue filter with the bulb still in the holder.

The newer throttle requires the newer cruise cable, which requires the newer servo bracket. The servo & stud plate can be reused, but I had to drill one new hole in the wheelwell.
