ISSUE: A number of driveability conditions may be caused by loose terminal connections in the wiring harness connectors. Connector terminals can be spread or damaged by "jamming" the tip of the ice pick-type test probes into the connector ends when diagnosing electrical wiring concerns. (This article is being republished in it's entirety to advise dealership personnel of the following source for purchasing an electrical circuit continuity tester with the modified probe tip.)
ACTION: To prevent damage to the connector terminals, we recommend modifying the probe tip for testing as illustrated or purchasing an electrical circuit continuity tester from the following source.
