dscf3520--dr-drip-rail-channel-carved.jpg Driver's drip rail channel carved. I got most of the porosity out with the final welding passes, but eliminating all the little start/stop holes and spider vein cracks eluded me. My neighbor stopped by and said I didn't do anything wrong, it's just the nature of the metal and all the contaminants in it. So, I slathered on JB Weld to fill them and feather in the edges of the weld beads I built up, rather than grind them down all the way and risk cutting into the already too thin surrounding metal.
