Pulling the M5R2 for a ZF5 swap resulted in 2+ hours of fighting to get it free, and one of four ratchet straps used simultaneously snapping the webbing in half. When it did pop loose, it took one of the locating pegs with it....

I found a '92-96 map pocket for manual window/lock panels, only to learn that it's really a '87-91 that someone had put on a later truck, and that they weren't offered after that. Oh well, it fits perfect, and being charcoal grey, was easy to dye black to match the door card....

Parked in a different spot for brake work, sloped down a bit to the passenger side, and had another water leak somewhere around the driver's side b-pillar... The window area above it seems totally dry, so I fear it may be something around the drip rails again. Of course, that's the side I filled in the access panel......

Pulled the passenger side wheel to try out the EBC brake pads, only to discover a heavily scored rotor. (The driver's side is fine; I could have spotted the damage through the wheel holes.) No sign of debris stuck in the pad or caliper....

Rear view of the modified mount. Bolting it together is trickier now, as is getting the top velcro strap on or off. I need to get a 3/4" ID silicone hose in black to replace the obnoxious orange, but everything is 10x the normal cost lately... (The squishy, 1-ply silicone allows the straps to hold the rail snug against the mount.)...
