this is the original timing chain I think; the teeth on the upper gear are actually plastic and cracked in five places, and the chain is so stretched, its ready to jump a tooth! I made 6 full-power pulls on the chassis dyno with this time bomb!

the cast iron 2 barrel intake manifold has been removed and a new cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, seals & locks have been installed without removing the heads;

notice the yellow "OK" stamp on the head casting, which has survived after all these ...

spare tire: G78-14 Goodyear Polyglass bias ply; not sure if this is the original spare tire, I thought Goodyear didn't make the polyglass tires until later in the 70's

this is the casting and date code of the block;
"D2AE-CA" means this is a 1971-74 Cobra Jet block (but it only had 2 bolt main caps)
"2K7" means this block was cast in 1972 November 7th.
