I just subscribed because im lost. I bought 2 broncos a 86' and a 92'. The 86' has a fi 302 with a blown head gasket, the 92' has a 351 in good shape. It sounds simple but i know jack about F.I. so what all is this going to entail? do I need to swap harnesses or just cumputers? the 86' is speed density F.I. while the 92' I believe is M.A.F. so uh... what do i do? |

You have alot of work cut out for you. The Engine mounts, exhaust manifolds, exhaust and other pieces on back of engine will need to be worked over. As far as fuel injection, everything's different. Even the injectors. Best to do complete harness swap, including the ECU. If it were me I'd swap the engine & tranny at the same time.CHeck also carefully the steering linkage and lines & cooling system, A.C., etc. They are very different. In my opinion, the '86 was a much better Bronco. I'm a bit biased since that's what I own. |
