Is the bolt pattern the same from 302 to a 4.6. If so what would I need to use for a flex plate on the 4.6 Any and all help very much appreciated.

Sorry...completely different bellhousing patterns. Some of the Mustang-oriented drag magazines might have ads for Mod motor to C-4 conversions, though.

Linny....that's not completely true. The '92 4.6L used the 302 bellhousing pattern. But unless Andy actually has a '92 block (hard to tell since they only came in Vics and Town Cars that year...I'm guessing he's talking Mustnag), you're right. '93-present modular engines have their own bell pattern.

Linny....s'ok....most people don't know that the modular motor debuted in '91. The only reason they used the 302 bellhousing in '91 and '92 was to ease the transition and to make manufacturing simpler.
