Want to install a lift kit on my 96. I don't want to go too high. Mostly for show and go. Not much off road at all. I do want to go as big as 35's. I've seen 4"lifts with no additional body lift or fender trimming (they claim)riding 35's on this site. Is this possible? Also the question of the day..which lift. have researched mostly all but can't decide. Maybe Skyjacker. How but some direction for this confused state of mind! |

Those people that say they are running 35's with 4" of lift are right. However that is on pre 92 models. If you want to run 35's on a 92 or later Bronco you will have to do some minor fender trimming. If a 4" is what you want go with a Rancho, no question. They have the best 4" kit I have seen. I would run 33's if you live in Boston. Driving around that area with 35's will kill your gas mileage. I used to live there and ran 35's, holy s#@t. 33's will hurt the mileage also but not as bad as the 35's. Good luck. Be sure to post pics when you finally do it.

Thanks for the info! Hey, how was the install. I've got the right tools but time is not on my side. I'm alright with my hands but what is the level of skill to install. I've seen install pics by readers that had the whole front end twin axle out on the garage floor. Might take me a little time. Let me know what you think.
Hey you commin by Boston? I'll buy the beer you supply the install!! |
