I happened across this sweet little ride completely by mistake back in August of 2005. A Family friend's Father passed away some time ago and as a result, the Father's car was being stored in a garage pending release of the Estate. Lucky for me, at the same time I moved to this area, the judge ordered the car sold and the funds placed into the Estate. The young lady selling the car on behalf of the Estate knew much about nothing and I managed to pick this baby up for only $5800! The car was mostly parked in a garage and as a result, she only had 34k miles on her when I first saw her. NICE! I had my new local mechanic give the ole' girl a once over before I wrote the seller a check! She checked out fine and I've had no issues since. To date, I've only put an additionaly 6k miles on her. I generally only drive her to work and home with the ocassional trip to Orlando to visit old friends!
I must say, this is my first-ever FORD. I've always heard not-so-good things about the car maker in general but never heard a bad word about the Taurus. For years, this car has been a proven performer as well as a true value for the buck. Oddly enough, this is the first car I've owned that actually seemed to be a perfect fit for the driver in me. Nicely done FORD, I'm sold! |
