Trans. Fluid Change and pan service Changed fluid in the ATF pan, cleaned the magnet and changed the filter. Put in Kendall brand Mercon V. Originally this tranny called for Mercon, but Ford put out a service bulletin in '98 recommending Mercon V. This was the first time this pan was dropped and it didn't look too bad. The Magnet was easy to clean. The amount includes 5 qt. of ATF (2.69/qt.) and the new filter 9.00). Couldn't drain the torque converter though so it wasnt a complete job, but should tider her over.

Rear Diff Oil Change New Valvoline 80W-90 gear lube in the rear diff. The service was recommended @ 100k, but this was the first time for this car. It looked pretty good actually when it was draining and there wasn't much sediment in the bottom. Already had the grey silicon RTV gasket so I won't add that in the cost.

Plugs and Wires Replaced plugs (last at 90k) with Autolite APP764 double platinum. Wires are NAPA high performance wires. The previous plugs were installed at the dealership and they charge me $8/each since they were Motorcraft double plats. When I changed them...THEY WERE COPPER!! Rotten thieves!

Fan Clutch Was at the dealer for unrelated issue and the tech asked if I knew my fan clutch was going bad. I didn't as she never overheated. But sure enough it wasnt spining well @ idle. Replaced with HD fan clutch from Autozone, it is TOO HD though as it takes a bit for it to disengage and sounds like a jet engine. May have to bit the bullett and buy the OEM part ($175...yikes!)

Cleaned MAF Was very clean appearing, but hit it with some contact cleaner anyway. Had to buy the tamper-proof Torx bits which I'll add to the expense listed but the contact cleaner was only 5 bucks
