| Engine: |
1600cc crossflow head inline 4. The original was a Ford Cortina GT engine. The newer "uprated" engines are based on the Pinto 1600 pushrod motor but use a British Cortina GT head. This type motor is good for about 110 Max HP. Engines cannot be modified from stock bore, stroke, cam, crank, etc. etc...

| Drivetrain: |
Like most Formula Ford racers of this era the Titan uses a Hewland Mk 8 gearbox.
Four speed, changable gear sets of matched straightcut gears and a dog ring shifting setup. It's infinately changeable according to track requirements. |
| Notes: |
I bought this for $1500 as a project in 1987 from a group of race car enthusiasts who had completely dismantled the car about ten years before.
They had intended to redesign and improve on the original in order to make it more competative against the "newer" cars.
It took about three years and several wheelbarrows full of cash to make a complete and functional roadracer of it. |
