The story
I got the Ranchero from a friend who's Wife told him to get it out of her yard. $50 towing bill to my house and started tearing it apart. I had to replace one fender and the hood. I have done major renovations ( and modifications ) to it and I am still going. I added power disk brakes up front, Power windows ( Caddy donor regulators ) Power Lumbar cloth seats ( '96 Cougar donor ) Power mirrors, Power door locks, Cruise control, Power rack & Pinion steering ( Chevy Lumina donor ) upgraded from 13" to 15" wheels using Nissan 200 SX aluminum alloys with low profile Firestones. I have also added (part scavaged, part home made) Ground effects kit and a remote start/keyless entry/alarm. I wanted a one of a kind truck that no one can copy but still feel safe letting my wife or mother drive. Since my other vehicles are all sticks I thought the auto would be nice for them. Since it is a truck ( by nature ) I can easilly use it to trailer my other street rod to car shows. I can load up the cooler, lounge chairs and beach umbrella and not have to sweat to death in the hot Georgia Sun any more while showing off both of my toys. — Alex Everett
