Anybody have brand suggestions for painting an axle? I was thinking about Rust Olem hammered ...

seems like painting while hammered despite the brand paint could be alright
Be sure to prime it no matter what, I used engine paint on my axles without primer and its doing fine but I wish I had taken the tiem to prime them first as it will stick and hold stronger.

Powder coat and herc are both really expensive .... plus the herc would be too thick in some spots.... I decided to go with Krylon flat black for axle and hammered for the diff cover and knuckles.
Anyway, started sanding ..... sanding sucks. It'll take me forever to sand the crap off of it .... but it's gonna look awesome.
Here's how it started out...
here's where I have gotten...
Pulled the calipers, rotors shafts, ball joints and bushing, along with the cleaning/sanding...
