Good luck, sounds like a hell of a job. I know work has been crazy for myself, so I haven't been padding like I should. I guess school starting up has a lot of the others busy too. I know I still need to get Hoss back to the shop to "warranty" my leaky rear axle. I think I'll wait until after the meet and greet, so I can be sure to have it out to drive it there. |

Patrick.. Wasnt your a HP.. I think thats one of the few things different about the XJand ZJ..
However everywhere I look says ZJ/TJ are the same...Unless said TJ has HP.(Which some do.)
SO they are checking the TJ to make sure its not HP and it has a short pinion.(some have long pinion) And then we start the swap.. Ill keep you guys informed..

Yeah the 4.10s I have are from a HP.... I was pretty sure most models before 00 had the HP d30... but maybe ask on JF to make sure....
JR... HP is High Pinion, LP is Low Pinion. Apparently in 00 Chrysler decided to try to save a little cash and switched to the weaker/cheaper Low Pinion D30 ... at least in XJ Cherokees. I of course replaced mine with the HP d30 as it is stronger and gives better driveline angles. When I got the "new" hp d30 it had 4.10s in it and now they are just sitting in my garage. Carl if you can use them just name your price ... but please keep it fair
