If I were to put smaller tires on my rig, wouldn't I seriously lose top end?

You'd lose some, but remember you be cutting down on weight as well, unless you get the black steelies with the new tires ..... really depends on how much smaller you go down to.

Why do you want to go smaller?

How many rpms you running at 70mph now?

Do you care if you can't go as fast high end? ..... maybe with something smaller you could smoke em

It's in reference to driving to/from Red Creek. I would throw some tiny wheels/tires on there to travel on, and try to stuff mine inside. RE how many RPM's, I don't know. I havne't gotten a tach on there yet. I thought about getting some 18 wheeler tires, but I rethought it as they wouldn't fit on standard rims. Or atleast not rims that would fit my lug pattern.

18 wheeler tires are for a 22.5 inch rim, plus i dont think you would be able to fit all 4 of your tires in your truck, and do you have any idea how much tose things weigh

Run some 35's or buy some rims and run rob's worn down 38's 35's and 12" lift wouldnt be bad, walmart has those 35's for like 124 or 127 a tire, rims would be like 30$ a peice...150x 4 = $600, I don't know how much you are willing to spend but that doesn't seem bad and even 35's wouldn't be un bearable with 5.13's....I'd be willing to drive liek 60 the whole way there... tires we may need to get each fullsize to haul one or you could rent a small trailer to put them on...if I weren't already pulling one i'd pull the tires....3500rpm's at 70 3000 at 60 thats not too too unberable at 60, still covering a mile a minute take about 2hrs and 15min with no stops...really I don't mind I've never been a speed deamon....if you want to do that or try something like that let me know

Who was that talking about those retread tires for cheap? Jeff? Coy? I can't remember who, but they sounded dirt cheap. They said they went to 37"'s. I could care less of the tread pattern. I need to try and get a tach in it and see what I'm doing. I don't think I'm running too hard in it, but those tires are so damn loud, it's hard to tell.
