Well I got woken up this morning at 4:30ish by the sound of my car alarm going off. I have a remote start that has a pager that monitors my vehicle to about a 1/4-mile away. I heard that chirping and my siren and horn being obnoxious. I grab my gun and my keys, and look on my remote to see that someone had attempted to open my door. I head outside and there is one of my neighbors out there checking his truck, apparently he thought it was his alarm going off. I knew it wasn't a false alarm, but I blew it off as everything looked copasetic. Needless to say, I was unable to get back to sleep. Well on my way to work I'm jamming to some GNR Paradise City, and I notice my rear slider window is partially open. So in fact it looks like someone was trying to get into my vehicle. I don't advertise my shiznit, as I've been broken into previously when I was younger. I have always thought my apartment complex was ghetto (e.g. known drug dealers, prostitutes, ethnic influence), I guess this just solidifies it. Now I'm at work, tired and pissed off.

That's what I intended to do.

confused ..... this was someone trying to break into Hoss or your Ranger?

Rangers have got to be the easiest vehicles to slide the rear window open... I played many pranks on my buddy that has one...

Sorry for not clarifying, it was my Ranger. I've had three Rangers, and had to break in all three. They are way too easy. I guess I need to get a solid rear window. I can get it for free, I have zero deduct comp. But I'm not sure I like the way it looks.

You can't put a better lock on it? Or how about getting one of those cargo area wire cage screen things and putting it behind the seat?

Are you talking about a wire cop-like thing on my back glass?
