I am in need of a handheld CB, and know NOTHING about them. I'm looking for something fairly cheap, but also that's not crappy.

These are all over Ebay, but I don't know if they're worth a crap or not.

If anyone has any suggestions, please speak up

Why not get a real one? much better reception and pretty quick to install.

Rob and I both have a cobra 75wxst .... I like mine, brains are in the mic part and you can buy different bases for cheap to switch between vehicles. Josh has some super "trucker" CB probably works a lot better than mine but it's got the big ole base unit to it....

I got mine local from musso on airline cause I was in a rush and wanted to install it asap, course they also tuned it after I installed it (I think Kris has an SWR meter though) and I wanted a no hassle warranty... could have gotten it for 90 or so online...

check your local raido shack they dont sell cb stuff any more but they didnt just throw it all away if you go in and ask for it they will take you in the back and show you what they have left you could probably walk out with a cb and antenna for $50-$75
