Well i have an 86 ford bronco it had a 302ci and a aod trannie out of a 95 bronco. Well the moter finally went (227,000 miles) well I came across a 78 ford ranger with a 351m and a c6 trannie i pulled out the moter and trannie and went to try to put it into my truck and it looks like it will fit so far except that my transfer case (and im not sure which one i have) wont bolt on. It has the same bolt pattern as the tailhousing on the C6 but the output shaft is jsut too long. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do. Should i shorten the output shaft or is there another trannie out there that will bolt upto the 351m on the front and my transfer case on the back? thanks in advance for the info

You'll need to find te other size adapter for the t-case. You need the longer one.

It's the spacer that's goes between the transmission and the t-case.
