pic of the XJ on 3 wheels....
heres the gouges I left in the asphalt.... there is actulally a 4th mark that goes off in the grass that isn't pictured. they were about 2 inches deep....

I actually had a good time ..... hell I lived ... the XJ will be fixed .... I shall return 
I went ahead and pulled out all the carpet so it can dry out from the dumped over ice chest.... thinking about bedlining the inside..... anybody wanna help...
Oh and don't forget, anybody that wants to go get some free lunch this Friday at 11 AM.... let me know... I'll need a ride and all

I think our "fix" of pulling the shafts qualifies as "dumbass of the year" award and will soon end up on tons of 4x4 forums everywhere

Here is hwat would have worked....clean out the diff cover of all loose metal remove front drive shaft...
Pull inners seperate and reinstall outters
if we would have popped the diff cover off the bat we'd have seen the damage and known all we needed to do was clean out some teeth, those loose teeth could have jumped up and jambed the ring and pinion had he drove home with any of the front end spinning
