Got a very strong lead on a TPI deal...I'm specifically asking to see what Kris Carl and anyone else who really knows about this setup thinks....here is the deal I inquired on this setup a couple months ago and hadn't heard anything out of the blue the guy contacts me again and says he's about to put it up for sale again but tells me i have first dibs he says:
"I am asking $400 shipped to your door. It is a very clean setup. It was dirty when I got it but I had the parts hot tanked, and then I polished the plenum and runners. It is very complete with dist, computer, harness, all injectors (which test OK electrically), bolts, new gaskets etc... There are a couple minor parts needed ( new MAT sensor $~25, and dist cap $~15) and some very minor dents in one runner bank. It is from an 87 IROC 350cid engine. I could probably take some pics if you are still interested. Lemme know."

How would this look under my hood? not to mention considerable mileage increase 14-15mpg keep my 330HP 350 and add a few horseies and torque with my truck on 35's? Fuel injected so no hill stalls... hum...
I've heard some other things like the TPI being far inferior to some other setups as well though, what do ya'll know?
Ideally when i have some decent money saved I am gonna build a 400-405sb with vortec heads and TPI...

if it were me i would be looking more for a throtle body injection setup, easier to deal with easier to find parts for and so on, then just get a stand alone to run it, now this tpi setup your looking at is this one of the ramjet type, if so there are alot of things you can do to tinker with them since they were available on some year vetts

That TPI is pretty cool... I think that it would work great... YOu will probobly not have much problem with the computer but Like Kris said .. A stand alone comp. for the Fuel injection would be preferable..
I know that its not hard to do the computer setup.. I bet you could find at least 100 writeups on it..
So let me know if you need any help searching and installing...
