how can i tell what typee of axles on 86 eddie baur and how hard would a solid axle conversion be.

'86 Bronco, either 8.8" or 9" rear end. Look and see if the back of the rear diff is smooth ot has a cover with 10 bolts in it. The 9" is teh smooth one.

Front is definitely a Dana 44 IFS.
