Got Borla myself. Haven't had any leaking problems. However, I got the 97 4.0L TJ headers instead of the 98 and it routes under the oil pan instead of in front like stock. I beat the snot out of mine in Gilmer and dented up the cross pipe. Still no leaks. But, I can tell a difference in my feet that these run a little hotter than stock manifolds. My guess is any header will be a little hotter.
I noticed a little difference in the low end...not as much hessitation, and a fair improvement in the top end. I have a stage 1 Jet chip and a K&N filter as well. The rest of my exhaust is leaky falling off stock.
