I'm looking for some tubing to use as sleeves, for when i mount this steering box. I need about a foot of either 1/2" or 5/8" ID....anyone know where to get some

i'm probably going to need a piece of 2x2 angle thats about 2" long.
Carl i'm going to need to talk with you about when you think you will be free to work on this with me...that is if you are still willing to help out. I don't know when i'll have everything, but the way its looking its going to be soon.

Carl, let me know when you want to get it, I can give you a hand. I also need to chop my rocker panel so I can move the 14 bolt back 5". Got any disc's left....  Why does my to DO list just keep growing and growing??????? |

Disk are cheap.. I am trying to get it for this weekend..
Reggie .. I will have 2X2 angle left over.. Probobly a lot of it..
Oh Josh.. Jeff is going in halfsies on it with me.. So thats why I told him..
I need a bumper bad.. Cause I need to buy a winch and If I buy a winch i need a place to mount it..
I am sure that Jeff wont mind me saying you are welcome to whats left..

I am probobly not even going to use much of the 2X2 cause I am using the 2X6 for a bumper
and I thnk Jeff wants to use the rest for rocker protection.. So that leaves 20' of 2X2 and 20' of angle..
I will need a little of each for mounting purposes but not much..
It is only sold in 20' lengths..

just outta curiousity, about how much you think it'd cost for the materials to build a bumper to house a 12-15,000pnd capacity winch on a 6,000pnd truck? next summer when I get a winch I plan on getting at least a 12,000 pound, probobly overkill but ya never know when ya might need one that big...if the frame could take it

I am buying 2X6 3/16 thick rectangle tubing.. that will hold up to a 9000# winch..
I have checked and the biggest winch bumper I could find was made out of 1/4"
So lets say 20' of 1/4 " channel or schedule 60 pipe maybe.. Depending on what you want..
Channel would be about $40 and schedule 60 pipe would be around the same ammount..
really quiet cheap..
I made a winch bumper for my old amigo out of schedule 60 pipe and 1/4 channel for mounting plate and welded it to the frame.. Bolted on a Warn 9000 and I never even saw the screw hole elongated from the force.. (I know the amigo only weighs about 3000# but the bumper was way overkill..
anyway.. The whole thing only cost me $50 ..

that is pretty cheap, I thought it'd be over $100 for the stuff, thanks for the info, won't need one till at least the middle or end of next summer, but since you guys were discussing it I figured I'd ask
