Will you still be working on it on Sunday?
Yomie: Where did you get the spring hangers ... just curious....
Yeah I've been researching doing a leaf swap on mine up front for simplicity. Hopefully I'll get a job and be able to do this ..... one day. I've been looking at what it would take to really smooth out the track & ride of mine in the front & it will be a butt load cheaper to go leaves. Should also make steering corrections easier & future axle swaps easier.... But all still in the planning phase right now.

I am just about done, I still need to cut the fenders and get some new shocks Since my new set is too long and my old set is too short. I wanted to install the new front springs before the weekend but I don't think I will have time. I can come by on friday and drop off the tools, are you gonna get a cutting torch or just use the sawzall? |

Brian, definitely bring the sawzall.. More is always better
Yomie, what time are you getting to Carl's on Friday?? Maybe I can come by and swap out my springs so you can get a jump on it on Sat?? I had to pay an extra 68.00 to get my springs shipped so I can't cut you a huge deal...How does 150.00 sound...I'm pretty sure that is what we talked about before so if thats ok let me know...Also, are you doing the hydro assist as well?? If you want, I can drill/tap your steering box and just put some plugs in it until you can get the rest of the setup?? I'm pretty sure Carl will have the taps we need. It will be pretty easy with box out of the truck. |

| Quote: | I would love to have leaf sprngs.. Expecially right now.. Since I cant seem to dial out the wobble I have at times. It is gettting scary sometime when I am going around a corner at 60 and the front tire feels like its bouncing off the road..

I have decided to do it. 100%. Researching it as much as possible now. Looks like we can use the rear LCA mount as one hanger. Getting perches on is no problem either. Only potential problems would be steering & getting the front hangars together.... which I'm looking into ....
Aside from the steering, I think this could easily be done in one day if I can gather enough info. There may be a guy over on NAXJA selling front hanger brackets that bolt into XJ holes. Might have to rework my front bumper but that is somethign that can be done later... and it would mean that if I can find a reasonable steering setup definitely do able in one day.
Yours would be a little mor PITA just cause we'd have to do your rear as well..... We'd lose flex (minimal with the right setup) but we'd probably make money selling the lift componenets we have now... and trouble shooting would be so much easier, as would future lifts....
