Hey when you got a guy that will put you up.. Buy you dinner and drinks , stay up all night wrenching and welding on your truck .. How can it not look good... We put a weeks worth of work into that thing in one weekend.. My calculations are 39.5 hours. for Yomie and myself and about 20 or so for Jeff and around 16 each for Brian and Mike.. Thats a hell of a lot of man hours put into one truck in one weekend...
It was a huge undertaking and without the 3 or so hours of supervision provided by Eddie we would never have gotten it dont..

Yomie Looks sweet! Feel any higher?
I just have one concern and that is the front under flex, looks like although you may have a caddy ride, notice the angle of the spring pack itself, I know rear works, but look at this

What are you saying that we should have put the springs and shackle like this..
________/ instead of this ____________\ I really couldnt remeber when we where under the truck .. I let someone else decide where to put it then I welded the bracket into place.. I hold no blame if it is wrong..
However it appears to be at the same angle as the rear and thats the way the rear is supposed to be...
I dont know about leaf springs.... I just weld the stuff where I am told..
Edit.. Oh I see what you are talking about..
The angle of the spring itself..
Not much we could do about that the frame is built like that.. Only thing we could do is put a longer shckle in the front and shorter in the rear to even it out.. But that would look crappy. and give you a huge plow in the front...

I'm not sure exactly which way would be better but what throws the whole geometrical aspect off on the front VS the rear is the front most shackle on both setups, notice the rear is little lower in the front mount VS the front noticably higher? I think dropping the front mounts even an inch will increse the flex before bottoming out, the spring pack already angled will indeed in theory absorb bumps much better but under full compression the forces will want to sandwich the spring and shackle hanger way more than the rear will ever see, the limiting factor in all my thinking is how the shocks will limit these forces and travel, the only way to know is to flex it out. The designer of the rear shackle mount is to blame in my opinion. Reggie got any pics of an exploder with this setup flexing?

Thats what I was looking for, any pics of it at rest? Its doing much like what I thought it would and the more i have thought about this having the hanger slightly like this _______/ would make its natural range under compression alot wider in radius sort of like this
_________/ ___________| __________\ again because the raising of the tire sends all the force to the swivel point in the rear ----------->/
Not knocking any of the work here just very very curious as to what that hanger will do. If that shackle has any chance to bottom out completely and let the springs negative arch
Edit: Just looked at mine, its ever so slightly bent this way _________/
