I see your whole point and it does make sence, but the only thing is that my springs are pretty much flat at ride height, i don't think there is any way that the shackle can bottom out under flex. As the spring goes from its ever so slight arch to compression, the spring will pass that flat stage, which will be its longest point, and the shackle will start to move forward again.

Once i get my rear drive shaft back i will flex it to test it out. What your saying does make sence, but i don't think that i will run into problems, yet.

Again I'm not ragging the design or the fab just concerned, at the point which you reach flat and start to negative arch the pack, the pack won't "retract" so to speak a whole 2" it would take to miss hitting the hanger first. I really doubt that but I hadn't thought about it much as far as what it would do once it hits the flat stage, and begins negative arching which shouldnt happen anyway as it has a sort of overload. If it will flex without worry I wouldn't worry about it anymore, its just like me to pick apart designs and how they work and this one still has me puzzled until I see it flexed, looks like the exploder in the pics has some positive arched springs....I went and checked out his page and also came across this

lol, yeah Cory, the owner of that shop, is a trip. The green explorer used 4.5" RE springs for a Jeep, he sprung them over. After about a month, the weight of the explorer took its toll on the springs, and i think they started to actually bend at the eyes.
