I am thinking of what size wheel i should run once i put 14 bolt ff under the rear.I will not be able to do the conversion right away and could run some 16.5 rims that are on existing axle.
I am not sure which would be better.Any ideas ? |

either is fine. decide the tire you want and pick the rim. i dont care for 16.5's unless you are going to run hummer wheels.
watch that auction! that truck should go for 700 or so |

I think the truck that have 14 bolts have 16's on them.. But I am not sure..
Jeff and Josh have the 14 bolt.. And I dont know what size rims Josh is running but I am pretty sure the Hummer rims are 16...
Your main issue will be clearing the brake drum(or disk.) ITs huge on a 14 bolt so you are going to need alot of room..Not sure if I 15 is big enough.. But I have been wrong before...

i belive you can fit 15s with a disk brake conversion, 16s without and the normal size for a 14bff is 16.5 but these tires do not have a safety bead so youll need to run beadlocks and unless your willing to shellout a few hundred bucks per rim id go with the hummer beadlocks so they will be d.o.t. approved

You can run 15s on 14ff . I had a set of em' on my old truck bs was about 3in. I think. If your gonna put them on front 44hd you gonna have to grind calipers to make em' fit . |

15's will fit on all drum brake 14 FF the 13" and 11" style, up front with and HD44 caliper grinding is necessary, disk brake rear minor to no grinding with 4.25" back spacing (Biggest selection of tires)
16's fit everything (next largest selestion of tires a bit more $ per tire
16.5's fit everything, small selection, no safety bead(this is why hummer rims are beadlocks), Tires much more $ per tire size for size.
I may jump up to a 16.5 just to run some military tires, 16" 8 on 6 is the most common rim though, dodge ford and chevy all used the same 8 lug pattern and spacing until like last year when FRUED through some more dirt in the parts matching game
