jeff look in your northern tools catalog in the trailer section there are some pre made fenders and they even come in dimond plate

Thinking about picking up the steel next Friday ( maybe sooner depending on work..) ANd Starting with the cutting and such Saturday morning.. I will either need your rig here or a good demension on the length that you want the rock rails.. OR as I am calling them.. SSwamp SSliders.. 
I will probobly be wrenching on my crap all weekend.. I need to install electric fan and change out the axle seal and figure out where my short is..
So if you get some free time swing by and I will show you the drawings for your bumpers and SSliders.. ( I know I am putting 2 s's.) 
Also what vehicle did you say you got those fans out of... (Dual speed correct)
And... Did you see the drawing of my Safari Doors??

I have some stuff to do here at home but I'll probably swing by this weekend. I can meet you at your place to do the rock rail etc...
The fans were out of a 96 dodge caravan, single speed dual fans. A taurus fan is dual speed but is a single fan...but it definitely rocks!!!Are you going yarding this weekend?? |

I want to.. But it depends on whether or not I get my short figured out..
I have been loosing all power ( and I mean everything.. Even radio) when I turn left.. ????????  Really got me stumped.. I wish I even had an Idea..
I am leaning toward a loose engine ground.. (Drivers side maybe ..) But I dont know..
SO I am going to put the drivers side on jack stands and look for anything that could be loose or strained...
If that works out then I am going to Barrys on Sat..

I like the idea but just for show, the more welds and bends the more shear points you create....lots of grinding or piping would be nice, I still need to build my rear bumper...

ITs not like It will actually be structural... I have a unibody.. So I dont really want them to be to tight..
I am going to cut all the pipe on angles and bevel them... So that I have good strong welds..
Its will be strong especially with the 3/16 thick corner gussets..
But your point is well taken.. I understand that the more joints I make the more likely a break is.. But like I said .. I think they will be strong enough..
Jeff.. I am sure we can work something out.. I will take measurements when you come over...
