look for a local driveshaft shop, I had to replace that flange and the center socket yoke on a bronco not that long ago, something about the openess and the weak sealing design on that shaft causes those parts to wear excessively after a few trips in the mud

Josh, it just slips off once you loosen this nut? Is it the same as the front? I was thinking of swapping them and then I could run in 2wd with the rear for a short time till I got replacement parts. |

depending on what transfer case you have, either way swapping the front to the rear should work, if you have the same 28 splines?(ford) front and rear output, on the 208 DO NOT leave the front yoke removed the 208 front output keeps tension on the chain in the t-case, it will one spew fluid everywhere and two cause major internal damage, the yoke seals the front output of the 208. Again, I believe you could swap and get away with swapping the front for the rear, again, the yoke seals it and its torqued to like 225ft lbs so good luck loosening it.

Northlake Driveline in Slidell got me fixed up with a new Driveshaft and Yoke/Flange. They were very helful and professional. They guaratee their work and I would recommend them for quality. They do machining, welding, fabrication, axles and exhaust as well. I know most off you guys live in NO or BR so you probably have a local guy to deal with. But, if you need some work done in Slidell Kevin and Leonard sure helped me get my rig back in business quick. |
