Youll get over her Joe, only thing is it takes time...lots of it .and another girl to help you forget :-)
And Jeff couldnt be more correct about how you walk away....if you can hide the punked out, shocked face and fight the urge to vomit when you think of her, you will leave a more cool and collected memory of yourself...and it also help s with the healing. Maybe a friend of hers will see how you handled it and come a knocking to "talk"
Now is the time to really get into your band and have fun with that.....and dont try to replace her, dont even look for another one...just like mentioned before, act like you dont care. I got more booty back in the day when I was in "dick mode" than when I was playing the hardleg. Have fun now and play the field before you get hitched....this is all part of life. Hell your next girl you might meet because of the band! I met my wife in '89 because I was in a band and we kinda grew together...but we didnt get married till 4 years ago. No rush! Have fun and think of how cool the next girl will be!!

I loved being single, and I love being married. Enjoy this time cause it only comes around once, and if it's meant to be it will be. But like Carl, Kris, Eddie, Josh and anybody else I missed pointed out being single is all about YOU, not needing anybody to make you feel happy, but being confident in yourself and your future. Just remember you are the one that is in control, ALL women want to get married and it is their job to "convince" you that you do too. Make no mistake, you hold all the cards in this game. The older men get, the more attractive they are to women via confidence, strength, MONEY, security etc.., women draw men in with their looks which usually begin to fade around 35 or so... So just wait intil your are a rich rock star in your late thirties and marry an 18 year old groupie who thinks the world of you!!!

Well said Jeff, let me restate, its alright to have a soft side but if you have to purposfully change just to hang out with us, i.e. hang up on them lie to them decieve them to be yourself around us, onething is for certain either your deciving us or your decieving your girl, be yourself let them accept you for who you are dont hide one thing or another, and don't try to be a tough guy around us when we all know whats going on at home when you disappear. It works for me, and figuring out who YOU are is most important to having a happy life, because then you can accept who someone else is and when they try and destroy the real YOU to make them happy or suit their needs its time for them to go. Half these married guys may have wives that don't accept or understand why they drive lifted trucks that get horrible gas mileage and break, but hey they aren't down at the titty bar or drinking at a bar, they are hanging out with us grease monkey's being safe and enjoying a hobby of their own, and you know what? The wives come to accept most of it.....Girls buy clothes, guys buy truck parts, home audio, tools, man stuff.
Well a little off tangent, but you get the idea, be yourself find a woman who can accept you and a woman you can tolerate accept as herself and be happy. If you can't live without someone you'll never live happily with someone, you'll grow in age sheltered and unsure of what else lies out there, miss opportunities, miss out on your friends and most of all miss out on your fun. Hold out brother..........

the support ya'll are giving me is really really appreciated. ya'll are awesome.
she hasnt called me back yet.. but my phone said i had voicemail.. so when i went to check it, it turned out that it was her old message from about 45 mins before she broke up with me:
"hey baby its me.. im just returning your call so we can talk. i miss you. call me back later. i love you. bye."
how can you just switch gears like that?
anyway.. i was thinking about something else.. the first time she started pmsing right after we got together.. she was being really bitchy.. so i asked her about it... she apologized and said, "..i have to let you know that i have a tendency to break up with people when im on my period." i asked why, she said "i dunno it just seems like the right thing to do at the time.. but if i do, just either ignore it, dont let me, or wait a few days and i'll call you back and apologize."
well i just looked at the date last night.. its about that time.
im not getting my hopes up at all or anything like that.. but if that was the case and she does call me in a week and wants to get back together.. should i?
