Got lots done tonight or this afternoon with my 10bolt HD swap, I got lots of side by side pics of the d44 shafts next to the 10 bolt shafts. To be posted soon when I'm not so beat, also scored a set of 35's had them mounted and balanced. My 10 bolt now has flat top knuckles with good ball joints, torqued correctly to specs and everything is in place except hubs, a diff cover and fluid and she will be back under the truck sporting my new 35's

Also included are my pics of the leaning tire before I pulled it out, not to shabby considering I performed as usual 98% of the work myself, rob and brandon were by for about 30 minutes hope the rain isn't too bad tomorrow I'd like to get the axle under ASAP come the floods thursday night

This is where I had to leave her tonight

Damn rain, well damn school, had to do alot of homework, didnt get to turning wrenches till late. Got the hubs and all on, forgot i'm gonna need to grind the backing plate to clearance the 15" rims, they don't roll well and without noise otherwise I would have rolled it under tonight, but they sound like a mack truck stopping right now, and 3 am is no time to pull out the angle grinder. I got wet but got alot done, maybe tomorrow I can take it out for a spin if I can get to grinding sometime soon.

And for those inquiring minds, click the first link I posted to see a 10 bolt d44 comparison of shafts, now I see why a d44 upgrade isnt that big of a upgrade, the d44 is definately beefier but they both taper down in spots 10 bolt shafts appear on top d44 on bottom on each pic so its like

10
D44
10
D44
