Will and I wrenched 17 hrs today....from 7 till mid night.....this mornign we got started with a little fender trimming on his bronco....here is a little preview
BEFORE

http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=110169&toggle=fullsize&f=DSCN0343.JPG
I had to get a little idea of what we were working with

Ahhh it was too muddy to be wrenching on so we washed it and got her all tidy and started the trimming, it was obvious what needed to be trimmed from his little adventure that got it muddy, which was more noticable when it was clean, he had already stuffed and rolled the fender corners so we got rid of them....
then checked the flex....got flex?!?

then we checked the front with the sway bar attached

Will got to looking around and said, nope this ain't gonna cut it
http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=110178&toggle=fullsize&f=DSCN0352.JPG
so we removed the sway bar and cut it

banged in some inner fenders, sawzalled some bumpers and other extra shet metal until we reached a proper medium

yeah good job for a day but then we went on to a short lunch and a possible alternator change for a friend...he is in Iraq and asked for a favor so his wife could move his truck, change his alternator....o we started by diagnosis of the problem...after swapping batteries and a jump we figured out the batteries were bad not the alternator....

Next project, josh's power steering pump replacement, approx time about an hour started at 2:45p.m. wegot the old one out and a three jaw puller from rob, the pulley would not budge, bent it to hell, located the only replacements in town across town, tightened it in good and snugg then realized we had screwed up, missing a bolt and lacking clearance, knowing we would screw this pulley up we made do, and ended up fabbing adn trying ideas left and right, got the bolt situation figure out then the bolt was too long, then we had to shim stuff, lots and lots of disassembly and reassembly, NOTE: If I ever have this much hell with a PS pump again I am going back to fred flinstone system, turn the wheel and let the dinosours roar that you are twisting their leg and listen to them scream as you drive anywheres........till it starts a fire................anyway.....round rolls dark, out come teh trouble lights, not drop lights, trouble lights if they come out, its dark and you're in trouble....more shit for problems, quick dinner back to work, finally got 95% of it right and then the serp belt is too short now because teh new bracket is taller.......grrrrr.............got all that swapped and look down its 11:15 still aint finished or running! cleaned up tools and will and brandon rolled out at about midnight, what a day, repeat with work at 9 am tomorrow

THANK YOU WILL! Glad to have you around man! Thanks also to brandon and rob for running us around and checking on parts and supplies...

Look guys one hand!

this was a start "with taste" to make it work, keep an eye out for TJ flares, next time you goto the yard or mall , looks like they may just fit the furture planned trimming he has in mind

I think there are some YJ flares in one of the bone yards.. I will check..

They look like this..

They have the blinker cut into the top of the fender instead of being right on the fender like mine..
