My summit cam has no keyway for the timing gear so I have to send it back. They pissed me off so I'm getting a refund and want to go with an Engle custom grind (only about 60.00 more). They let you pick everything form valve lift to lobe center to duration etc... I know some basic stuff but I want to get this one right...Anybody got some input??

Kris would you mind running some different numbers in your dyno program once I get all the engine info??

no problem just let me know the numbers

so the cam you bought has no keyway to line up your cam gear?that sucks did you call and bitch?

try PAW they have a wide selection of cams

heres the basics
more lift = more bottom end power + better fuel economy
longer duration or more valve overlap = more top end power + worse fuel economy

your best bet is to find out as close as possible what your stock grind is and when you get a new cam go for the most lift your springs can handle with out your valves slapping your pistons and only go a little bit longer in duration this set up will give you more power without decresing your milage

if you need to find out more about cams in general i have a buttload of tech info here at my house you can read over
