I have heard several different things from several different people about how big of tires will fit a stock (suspension) bronco. I have heard that 33's can clear and from some others that they rub. I have also heard that 35's clear and from others that they wont fit at all. I do suppose it depends on tread pattern as well but if someone could help me out with some insight that would be great. |

It's a crap shoot. Wheel wells and bumpers have different characteristics across model years.
78/79, 80/86, 87/91, 92/96. WHat fits one won't necessarily fit the other.
Tire brands come in to play, too. Some are noted for producing tires close to their stated size, other's don't.
Condition of your suspension, as well as any mods hanging off the front/rear bumpers make a difference, too.
Best bet, just like going to the shoe store. Hit the tire shop and try a set on. Either that, or find a group of buddies that'll let you run a set or two.

I guess thats the bad thing about being in the military I just got stationed in virginia and only know a couple of people. How are companies about letting you "test" a set of tires? I now have 31's and wanted to jump to 35's but that may have to wait until I do the body lift. Thanks for the info |

Tj
don't go with the body lift for clearence. save for a while and go for a sup. lift to fit the bigger tires or do a little fender trimming. I had a body lift once and after a while they do come through. It'll save you in the long run. |

I cut my wheel openings and I am running 35's with no lift. I will soon be running my 38's with no lift as soon as I finish my rims. |
