I am in the process of replacing the drivetrain in my 1989. I have the 350 motor and the rear end out of a 87 9C1 but still need to find a tranny to replace the tired 700R4 currently in the car.

Is there a difference between the 2WD and 4WD 700R4's? I also thought about running a non overdrive TH350, but I am not sure that it will bolt up to the existing crossmember.

Any help/wisdom would be appreciated.

i have a low mile 700r4 with new rear bushing and seal new filter and pan gasket willin to sell for 200obo or trade for some parts for my 84 caprice classic wagon [email protected]
