Hello! I read that another user has a problem very similar to mine. From the sounds of things though, we are in very different situations. I have a 2006 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. My car will not shift into third gear. Like this other user, my car gets to about 30 MPH, then acts like it has gone into neutral. If I turn Overdrive off... or whatever OD stands for... then it's capable of reaching 70 MPH. Though I don't push it that hard. The RPMs climb very quickly which in my mind tells me it's not getting into third gear.

I'm a college student. Staying at a college dorm. I don't have my own supplies, money, tools or know how on how to go about fixing my car. My only idea on how to approach this is to ask the various schools in my area to take my car into their automatives programs and fix it for me. Seeing as just... swapping out my tranny for another Police Interceptor tranny won't really help me that much... I'm thinking having my tranny rebuilt?

I have next to no experience in what I\\'m doing and am hoping somebody can give me an idea. Thanks!
