two door classic gone bad

Well, I love this car but it doesnt like me.

heres my issue

Whenever the motor heats up when i drive after a while, it hesitates when i accelerate and dies out eventually (feels like it has no gas (not true-half a tank) well i changed the cap, rotor, coil, condensor. and still the same thing.

it runs ok, but eventually hesitates then chokes....what could it be, anybody who may have ran into this problem please let me know so i can get my baby back home!!!

Well first back to the basics whats the air filter look like, if thats good I would check the intake and vacuum hoses for leaks if it feels like it is running out of gas. If it is fuel injected I would check the PCV and EGR valves as well as the fuel filter and injector screens for debris. If its carbureted I would check the jets and the rest of the carb for varnish or other debris, as well as the jet size and fuel/air screw position.

what about your check engine lights? is it on? maybe the bulb is gone, try to retrieve the codes anyway, you dont need a reader to do that, jus a simple paper clip.

if can be many different things, like O2 sensors causing the engine to run lean, thats why it hesitates, and trouble with idle can be caused by bad IAC, its easy to replace. you can get one from millennium ford parts or rockauto.
