We have a winner! A Clipper it is..... Strange thing though, the ride quality is nip and tuck with my Mercury, which is a good thing....not that I am complaining mind you.

Sonar, I have to say I cheated. Only piece of Packard lit I have is a big LIfe magazine size publication showing the whole "55 line. Does this Clipper have torsion bars? If so it must be a Clipper Custom, the cheaper models had springs. They made a big thing of the improved ride/handling with the bars. |

Yes, It has the Torsion Level Ride. I think it is a later 55 For it is actually a Clipper Super. Sorry to say, the engine came out of a Constellation so it is the larger 352, not the 320
