Just had supper 44's put on and sounds nice but kind of boring.. I hear mustangs ripping down the road an god damm it I want mine to sound good too..
I Can't take off cats cause would never pass VA inspection, plus bad for environment ...
I heard if I take out the resonators that I will achieve this desired sound , so I guess the question is where the hell are these things?
I heard they are towards the back by the back wheel well where the pipe gets somewhat bigger???
If I remove that section my exaust will sound better???
Thanks so much for your time

Also.. I'm not sure my car even has resonators.. It's a 2004 cvpi.. Should I install highflow cats 2.25's and just go ahead and remove the curved tail piping? Will this work, or am I flushing money down the toilet?
I just had a buddy of mine at Midas install my 44's for $100 and was more happy with the price than I was with the way they sounded. They sound like they definably have the potential to sound way more aggressive.
Any ideas crown Vic nation? |

Hey there snakeyes I was wondering if u ever got a answer to your question as I have pretty much the same issue. My 04 CVPI has 2 40 flows and was also disappointed after install. Talking to my mechanic if I want to make them roar he suggested cutting off the 4 cats an install straight pipe to replace them as its legal here in Michigan. I know u said illegal for u but was curious what u did if anything. Thanks |
