Hi Guys, I've heard alot of talk on here about their front lockout hubs being sticky. Mine were too. I run a CNC machine shop, so I whipped up a heavy duty hub wrench. It works great!! The picture of it is in my registry, (Lou Beckler) if you want to see it. (I dont know how to put a pic on this thread, sorry) If I can get enough guys that are interested in them I can mass produce them. Price depending on qty. Let me know..... Lou |

Sounds good Lou, the dealer replaced the dust seal on one side of the front axle under extended warranty at 60K miles, they also replaced both front locking hubs. How should we keep them lubricated so they don't get stuck again?

My dealer told me to keep them loose by turning them on a regular basis. Thanks for the help with the pic! |

I'm not talkin about frozen hubs with an internal problem. The o-ring (dust seal) becomes "gummy" from lack of use on this axle. Because most of us don't use four wheel drive in the summer, they become hard to turn. For me the wrench just facilitates the ease of turning. I'm a big strong boy, and the first turn of the hubs in the winter is very hard, if not impossible. I have tried turning Dana 60 hubs new on the lot, and it takes much effort. I would tend to think that the engagement issue is an internal problem. .....Lou Beckler
