Hey. nifty idea.. I'm going to put some blue bulbs in this summer when I do the yearly maintenance thing.

Those screws can be a real pain. I oiled mine when I took the bulbs out to dump the water out. I'll find out how that worked out next summer. :-)

I may go one step further and use a Blue LED. Light bulbs be damned.

I had a running board light out on the front drivers side. I removed the two nuts and swung the cover plate aside and found the connector full of water, much to my chagrine. After cleaning and replacing with a new bulb - it works fine. I plan to go to clear LED lights, but must choose between 1 LED, 2 LED's...up to 4. Has anyone try any of these? I am curious which one is an equal in brightness...

I've purchased some clear reverse lights that I plan to mount BENEATH the running boards, and light up the ground below. My ex-girlfriend's E.B. Explorer has some lights on the bottom of the exterior mirrors that light up the ground, and is a really helpful feature when entering/exiting. Figured I would get the same benefit by adding some underneath the boards .... and of course I'll include some rock-protection for all the debris kicked up by the front tires.

Ford offers that? Cool! Guess I can install the already-purchased lights as reverse lights on my car trailer. Thanks for the tip!

How easy was the auto headlamp kit to install. I am terrible with the electrical wiring stuff. The last two cars I have own have the auto headlamp thing and I miss it on the beast.

Let me know!!!
