I am just wondering if I should have anything else done other than the FORD 100k service. What all will they do? and Would it be better to have someone else do a major tranny service, i.e. Mike/gearman ?

Yes I bought my rig used with a mess of miles on it, but it was clean, well taken care of and priced right . I want to make sure it will go many, many more painless miles . What do you guys think??

Thanks in advance.

any good shop can do the trans service. always demand Ford oem filter and make sure you watch them drain the torque converter in front of you. there is a drain plug in the converter (easely accessible) the trans will hold 18 quarts of fluid. dont be sold on a flush (i dont like that at all)

Mike, the reason I am asking is becasuse I am wondering if there is anything else that I should have them do since they are going to be servicing it? Should they put a shift kit? trans Command thingy?? Anything?? And also how close to Disneyland are you??

a TransGo shift kit would be nice. problem is there are some mods in the shift kit thet need trans removal. but it still would be beneficial. my shop is not near Disneyland. i am next to LAX.

Okay Mike, I think that a trip to see you may be in order. Unless you know of a shop that I should/can trust around here. I will be calling you in the next couple of weeks to find out prices/dates/etc.
