I believe so, but I haven't tested it. I would not mind removing them except for all of the crud that would get on my running boards. I saw an X without the front mud guards and it looked nice. No major changes, just different. Smoother maybe.

Mostly from the inner (engine) side. I just cut a little with a hacksaw and tested it until I got it satisfactory. I still rub, but only when turning while compressing the suspension. It is minor and I don't notice it anymore. What does bother me is the LOUD power steering pump. That thing drives me crazy. But that's another thread...

i just installed 305's on my stock rims, stock ride height, NO RUBBING at all anywhere, this also is a 2000 X with PSD
