Does anybody know of any good quality clear headlights? I've been looking there seems to be a alot of different ones available. I've heard the cheap ones (usually made in Taiwan or China) are junk , not legal, and turn yellow after a few months. Some brands I have found are FORD (very expensive) , APC , Depo, Matrix, etc. The Ford guy says his are superior - weigh twice as much, etc. Which ones are you all running - I notice alot of people are running them - projector style , diamond style - like on the lightning trucks. Any pointers appreciated.  |

Hi Marty, I`ve running APC Projects and there Diamond corners since december of last year with no problems. I`ve seen posts saying that they have turned yellow or even black and leaking. Heck they still look like they just came out of the box. My X sits outside 24/7 in the snow, rain, sun. I did siliconed the seams and put silicone grease on the sockets. I got them off of Ebay. The Ford lights are probably are better, but cost more from the factory. I`ve seen them on Ebay too, at a good price.I think Birdman 127 got his there. 
When you decide on which ones, I can give you some tips on making the job easier and some hints to get the most out of them.

I heard my name mentioned!!! Hey Mongo....Yes I got the Ford clears from e-bay...160 for both I beleive. I just installed blue LED's and strobe's in them too. I will get the APC's soon though. I let my buddy Mongo be the guinney pig.

Thanks for the tip - I think I will get that advice from you cause I'm gonna bid on some tonight on Ebay. 160 for Ford clears is a great deal because the ones i found were over 300 bucks. The APC are around that 160 range for chrome clears - I think the projectors were more. Anyway, thanks again. BTW I'm also gonna get a brushed billet fuel door - those look trick on X's. Also on EBAY - 90 bucks. Later guys. |

That`s where I got mine. Just a note, When you get the door, you might have to grind down the two tit`s, bumps ,whatever, to get it to lay flush. You`ll see them when you get it.

look at the mustang, navigator, and expy fuel doors 45.00 for the same door.

45 sounds better than 90. I'll look, but that stuff is kind of hit and miss on ebay. One week I'll see all kinds of stuff and then lately hardly anything - mostly those fuel door decals. I don't think i want one of those - kind of cheap. Thanks man. |

I can`t see one for $45, but $57 to $69 is still better than $90.
