My rear glass will unlock fine using the remote. However, If i lock my X with the remote everything locks except for the rear glass. Think my actuator is dead?

anyone else have this issue?

Yeah on my first X which was an "00 all the locks eventually died on me. They were all still covered by warranty . So far on my "02 X I have not had the problem but expect to see it somewhere around 30,000

My '02's rear hatch started having problems too @ about 14K...
but I have a bad habit of hitting the unlock more than once so I guess I wore it out prematurely !

Maybe that's why the first unlock is the driver only ?

I should have taken pics and done a tech article.

My actuator was pretty worn and weak. But, that was because of the craptastic locking control mechanism that ford put in the back glass. Press-fit levers and moving parts become worn down creating a sort of binging in the mechanism. I ripped mine out and cleaned it up and called ford. They want $120+ for the whole kit including cables, latches, etc. So, I just lubed my control unit and beat on it a bit until I got it working good.

Overall, the mechanism is kinda cheap. IF yours is causing problems just clean it and lube it up. I would also advise lubing it on a semi-regular basis.
