They sure are the cause i paid up the ying yang to have mine replaced under warrenty. It got rid of the stupid pop heard and squeaks. The FORD Cheapo ones rot out and crack around 10k and when you ask to get them replaced it is a "Wear" item. They cost around $298 for all five and thats just the parts. They make a after market bushing that is poly Eurothane that has a stiffer ride but last 5 times as long and wont sqeak.

Thanks

Is it more of a popping sound you heard. I have a popping noise ever since I installed the anti-sway bar. I tighten every possible bolt and nut on the front and back and still the popping. I'm thinking you may have something here.

Please describe the sound you've heard?

I too had a popping sound in the front end. There is a bar (not sure of the official name) that runs across the back of the front axle, with two bars running up to the frame, one nut was loose on the upward running bars just slighty, tighten it up and no more popping.

The driver side bushing was the problem. Not coverd under warranty. Got it fixed and the sound is GONE! I still have some work I want to do under the front of my Bronco and Ex. I want to replace whatever they make poly bushings for. Not the body to frame bushings. I will tackle that when it happens again. The sound was a knocking type sound in the vicinity of my feet. As the body would shift, it was as if someone was knocking on the floorboard.
Since I had that bushing replaced the Ex has a much better ride.
