I just picked up my 2000 Excursion yesterday from a small dealership out of state. He did not know the code for the keyless entry on the door, a friend told me for puts the original code inside the vehicle somewhere. Usually under the dash. I've looked but did not see it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe I will have to contact Ford dealer tomorrow, just wanted to get it set up today if possible. Thanks, Doug.

Doug,
I've seen many post that say some earlier X's default code can be found on a sticker attached to the bottom of the ecu behind the left kick panel. To date I have had no luck and I've checked aproximately 10, 2000 to 2002. At any rate your dealer can read the code from the computer, I had it done about two weeks ago, it took about 15 minutes and they didn't charge me. I believe this is your only alternative.
