Okay, I'd better start at the begining. I have spoken with Gearman, a.k.a. Mike, on this list and also on the phone regarding all sorts of things re: the EX. Well, today I was in his neighborhood so I stopped by for a visit. One of the first things he did after we met was to hand me the keys to his EX and then explained to me the switch that changes the setting on the chip. Then he sent me out to have some fun. His EX is quite fast in the +50 horsepower mode but in the +100 horsepower it is awesome.   I want one of those chips!!  Mike, it was good to finally meet you in person and thanks for letting me drive your truck.  I now have something to look forward to. Mine is no slouch but that chip sure makes a BIG difference. All I need now is some money...........

It was a pleasure to meet you. and glad you drove my X. It is my test mule (and a fanstastic one at that). I am trying to build the perfect tow vehichle and fun truck at the same time. I am not interested in building a fast Excursion but that happens naturally when you do things right. Every mod i choose to install (i always test them before i decide) or develop, has longevety, and trouble free towing in mind first. I am fortunate to have Steve Cole as a friend and he even listens to me when i want a chip done my way. I will call you when the exhaust is on so you can listen to it.
