Monsta - I tried sending an e-mail to you concerning your idea (I like it), but the message was returned as undeliverable (your e-mail address apparently isn't working properly in your profile). Send me an e-mail, please, and I'll send my original message via reply. Thanks

Can anyone tell me what the advantage of the Hellwig sway bar is over buying a ford rear sway bar for a 2003 X?

Mine is a 2002 X, and I obviously don't have one now, but which is better the Hellwig, or a ford facotry one to fit the newer model X??

Hellwig is a beefier unit and most likley cheaper at 145.00.

John,
Some have said that the Ford 30 MM rear bar is a bargain...
but I've not seen or compared it... I THINK I recall that someone did and said the Hellwig was thicker - which relates to more sway control...

I had an '02 Ex 4x2 and I can tell u the hellwig imprved my 'comfort' feeeling in corners 1000 % !!!

I'm even considering swapping out my '03 4x4's chincy little stock bar for the hellwig to get better control....

You will get more sway with the Ford bar. When i installed my bar i set it tight; by that i mean i used the higher hole in the frame and when i tightened the bar to the lower link, it drew up a little. That tells me the the bar is in play at all times. IMHO
